Summer Meals to Stay Cool and Lose Weight

The other day, I saw a young couple walk into Tennessee’s (BBQ) for lunch on a 90+ degree day. I do not know what they ordered, but all I could think was that I would never be attracted to that kind of food in summer.

What have you been eating this summer? Has it kept you slim, young, energetic, sweet-smelling, and happy?

Here’s what I’ve been eating:

  1. Barley Salad
  2. Polenta Cakes w/ Shiitakes and Scallions
  3. Fried onions and sweet potatoes
  4. Grilled Tofu
  5. Light Miso Broth w/ Pea Shoots
  6. Hummus Rollups w/ Cole Slaw
  7. Raw Salad w/ Nuts (almonds and pumpkin seeds)
  8. Veggie Burgers w/ Avocado
  9. Cool Bancha Twig Tea w/ Milk Thistle
  10. Green Apples, Melon, Tangerines, Plums & Apricots
Okay, I’ve had some frozen yogurt and chocolate, but in moderation.
Notice the absence of barbecued meats, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, etc.
