Toxic Election Season

Everyone is stressed, and with good reason. We are about to get a new president that will either be effective, for herself and her corporate and government friends, or a totally insane narcissist, who would probably be completely ineffective, due to his personality.

What can we do? Unfortunately, there is not much we can do, since we gave these people the nod in the primaries. However, we can realize that most change comes from consumer behavior, as decentralized as it may be. And we can also free our minds of the election, as soon as it is over, and pay attention to the way we want to live, for our own health and sanity.

In my home, we mostly ignore the news, and we certainly do not follow the masses to Buffalo Wild Wings, or MMA, or violent movies, or even buying gas-guzzling cars or animal foods.

But that’s not enough. We need yoga, meditation, chanting, and long walks in the woods to cleanse our body, mind and spirit.

Thank goodness for our true leaders in nature, such as the Kushi Institute, Whole Foods, and all the wonderful natural movement and healing folks in our country.

Breathing!!
