Love Your Liver

Spring is in full swing now, the days are getting hotter, and we need to get to spring cleaning.

That means eating less, chewing more, and getting more outside time and movement.

I’m going to do my situps etc. in a minute, but for now I will say that if you are getting headaches, or have leg or foot cramps, or have allergies or skin problems, or your eyes are blurry, your liver is feeling challenged.

The liver is the most amazing organ in the human body. It does so much. We need to treat it better. Here are a few ways to love your liver…

10 Ways to Love Your Liver

  1. Cut down on alcohol
  2. Cut down on fruit juice, coffee and soda
  3. Skip dessert, or just have a piece of fruit, in season, organic
  4. Limit your animal foods, and go organic
  5. Cut down on salt, and use only sea salt
  6. Do a daily body rub
  7. Walk in the woods every day
  8. Get plenty of sleep, especially 11pm-4am
  9. Eat whole grains instead of bread, pasta, etc.
  10. Don’t take any medication you don’t absolutely need
